Default frosty dervish

ok, so the thing thats important with this build, is that Grenths fingers triggers conjure frost WITHOUT needing a cold weapon , so you could toss a sundering mod, and get that damage too

this build does significant damage, while maintaining health, through skills 7 and 8

i know that VoS is under earthprayers, but even so, it does add a nice bit of damage.

I run the water enchantments on my derv hero. He turns into a great tank.
Bring Conjure, Armor of Frost and Armor of Mist.

What is the purpose of this build? You didn't state pve or pvp much less what format in those.

Regardless of format, that's a bad bar, and not even in a "oh well it's creative and innovative you elite fascist!" sense. There's no IAS/IMS (admittedly the latter is less important but the former is vital). Scythe Mastery should be maxed. You shouldn't be bringing TWO heals (especially when one is designed to work best when not under enchants, and the other is touch-range targettable - I imagine it's there because you're trying to heal others?). If this is PvE, conjures are frowned upon because they're so easily stripped and SoH provides better damage anyway, without needing to rape your attributes and secondary to get it. Again though, if this is PvE where are the standard PvE-skills or AoE scythe attacks that make Dervs so imba? And using VoS as elite with no points invested at all is an enormous no-no.

well if you MUST know
its intended for PVE use
i dont like using pve skills, as they're usually overpowered ( not using them creates more of a challenge )
my bars usually carry more than one heal, because it makes the healers job easier
i carry natural healing incase of enchant strips
the other being targetable, is merely because its targetable, i had no intention of healing others
you might have a point on VOS, but you really could have phrased it better

really, i thought the point of this thread was to help create and streamline builds, not to needlessly and cruelly shut them down... just saying

1) U cant heal enough to keep yourself alive. 2 wasted spots
2) letting other players or heroes heal for you allows you to bring more damage and survivability
3) VoS with no attribute points..
4)Mystic Sweep is an OK skill.. but there are MANY better choices that offer more damage and utility. Mystic Sweep is a good skill if U have high Mysticism but really low scythe mastery. (only 2 builds that I can imagine, use this tactic)
5) spreading attribute points across 4 lines is generally not a good idea ..all though Dervish has many exceptions to this.

For instance try this out...that way you keep the name you made....and do good damage

U could replace the PvE skill with Grenth Fingers... so U could take whatever scythe you want..damage will suffer though

or something like this

i do like the addition of frigid armor, i need to keep grenths fingers tho, it changes damage type to allow conjure frost to work ( even using a sundering scythe )

i cant heal enough to keep myself alive, but again, im not trying to take the healers job away, just make it easier
i can see the VoS thing is going to get me alot of angry looks, and i can see why, i will remove or replace that

i actually like that edit you made, but instead of Veil of thorns, i'd probably go with Mystic regen,

You should take out the self heals for more damage to make the monk's job easier. Faster the foes go down the easier it is for the monk's energy and sanity. If you're using those poor choices of skills then you should be adjusting your hero bars and/or playstyle.

I have been using this on my derv hero since the derv update and it works awesome.
The main purpose of the hero is being useful while tanking, so he spreads Deep Wounds and does some dmg. Not sure this is useable for a person, but you can surely modify it.

@Daris he is completely right right about this. The faster you can kill, the easier the monk job is. If you stop hitting to heal yourself.. neither your heroes or other players will know that, they will try to heal you anyways. Wasting what precious little energy they have. In the long run all it does is prolong fights.

If you are taking self heals for more survivability.. might I suggest taking Conviction in the earth line. Or Attackers Insight in the wind line. That way you can up your survivability and provide support through condition spreading.

Alternatively this build
Code:
Ogajwqp7qSyX0ksXcXrX0XSXvl
is excellent at surviving almost everything GW can throw at you. Making you a tank to ball up foes on top of you.. so killing is 100x faster. Again.. PVE skills are recommended. But not necessary in this build.. and can be easily swapped out for more damage/scythe attacks.
